Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 31, 2026
Baram is developed by Jihyeok Seo.
Summary
Baram reads video files you choose, extracts the telemetry the camera recorded inside them, and renders video back out. All of it happens on your device.
Baram does not collect, store, sell, or share your footage, your telemetry, or anything derived from them. There are no servers to send them to.
Information Baram uses
- Video files: read from folders you pick yourself, and never copied anywhere else.
- Telemetry: the clock and motion data the camera wrote alongside the video, read from the same files.
- Purchases: handled by Apple StoreKit, which tells Baram only whether a purchase exists.
- App settings: the telemetry rate, overlay style and palette, speed, output frame rate and resolution, stored locally on your device.
Data collection and tracking
Baram does not collect personal data, does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, user accounts, or server-side logging, and does not track you across apps or websites. It makes no network requests of its own.
Files and permissions
On macOS, Baram runs in Apple’s App Sandbox: it can read only the folders you pick and write only the file you name in the save dialog. It asks for no other access — no contacts, no location, no camera, no microphone.
Children
Baram collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
